Today I swam 1400 yards, which is 56 lengths in a pool. The Swim for the Triathlon is about 800 yards (1/2 mile). For some reason I was thinking a 1/2 mile was 1600 yards, but I was wrong and a lot more happy about that! 800 yards is nothing for me, so I feel a lot more confident in doing the swim part. As most people know, I swam all growing up and made Varsity my Freshman year. I could have been a really good swimmer like my Sister Amie (she was amazing!), but my passion was Dance, so I stopped once I made Dance Company in High School. Swimming to me though is so refreshing! I feel no matter how sore I am, swimming tends to help stretch my muscles and it doesn't ware on my body so much. My cousin Megan has been going with me. She used to coach a swim team, so I like having her there to push me with different drills and such. Today was a good workout! We usually do 200 warm up, 200 kick, and then switch with different drills and sprints for the rest of the time. I love it! I would live in the water if I could!!
Wednesday nights, I usually go to Hip Hop class, but since it's Douglas' Birthday today, I'll be missing it. Every night I do ab and arm workouts to tone, so that'll do me in for the day.
