1400 Swim

Today I swam a 1400. I lifted weights yesterday and worked a lot with my arms, so I could totally feel that today! My whole upper body is so sore! Swimming was good though. I'm kind of clueless on what type of drills to do while swimming, so my Sister Amie has started giving me workouts to do, which kick my butt as well. She is awesome when it comes to know what to do with swimming!!

Yesterday, I had a guy in my neighborhood look at my bike to see what needed to get fixed on it. He says that it is in great shape for being how old it is, but definitely needs new tires. The saddle is really uncomfortable too, so I'll be replacing that soon. Also, the pedals are regular ones, so I'm hoping to get the click in ones with shoes. We'll see how that goes!! Just excited to start riding it!!

  1. is your swim in open water or just in a pool? If its in open water I would practice swimming in that because it is totally different than a pool. So if you can just go to a lake or something and test it out. I wish I would have done that before my race. We swam in a reservoir and it was freezing cold good thing I had a wet suit but still it was so different than what I had been training for.

  2. Ya, it's in a pond! I definitely need to practice in open water!! Just need to figure out where I can go!!
