Slackin'

So, I have made the effort to get back in my work out routine again and blog about it. Mainly for myself and to motivate me each week. Not that I dont workout or anything, but I have slacked a bit this summer with being so busy that I have fallen short, especially going to the gym! Oh, and I really need to sign up for a Tri and SOON!! I will post which one once I get my butt going on that :)

Anyways, today I went to the gym. I wanted to focus on my arms and shoulders today plus run, so what I ended up doing was run 1 mile on the treadmill (rather run outside, but it is so dang hot during the day!!) and did about a 9 min mile, alternated my biceps, triceps, and shoulders doing a variety of sets 2x each, went back on the treadmill and did just a half mile, decided to focus on ab work with the machines and my own reps, then sprint/walk every 30 sec for another half mile, so total in all 2 miles on the treadmill. I haven't run in a while so I took it a little more easy this time, but I can totally feel it!! I hate how that happens of you stop doing something and then it being so much harder starting back up! My bad!!

Tomorrow with it being the 4th of July, I have to work in the morning :( but have a dance perfomance in the late afternoon, which for me, in hot hot weather is quite the workout!! I hope to go run later in the evening though when it cools down a bit. We'll see if that happens though with the festivities that will be going on!!
