Man! I have been so busy lately, that I haven't even had time to blog till now! So what I am going to do is go backwards on my workouts. Today, I went to the gym. I ran a 9 minute mile, focused on arms today doing a variety of weight reps on my biceps, shoulders, and triceps. I love having the change of switching things up. It makes my workouts a lot more fun. After, I did abs. I am really trying to tone my tummy area right now since that is still my problem area. I'm at a good weight, but of course have that dang loose skin that no matter what I do, it does not want to go away! So I am REALLY trying to tone it up and see what happens! Then I got back on the treadmill, inclined at a 13 for 1/2 a mile at a 3.8 speed and then sprint/walked the other half mile at a 3.7-8.0 sprint. I really like doing the incline and then sprint/walk, especially on a treadmill. I am not a huge fan of treadmills, but if that is all I have at the time, I alternate my distances and levels. It is just so boring for me to run straight the whole time! That is why I'd prefer to run outside, but gotta love the gym and having daycare :)
Yesterday, from all of the dancing I did Sun, Mon, and Tues, I took a break from working out, but cleaned my entire house top to bottom, so I guess you can call that a workout in itself :) Love my sparkly clean home!!
Tuesday, I had a performance at the South Towne Expo where they were doing the Days of 47 Float Preview party. We did our 25 minutes Vegas Show and then did our 5 minute Awesome "Dog Days" dance that we learned which is a killer!! I probably sweated more than I ever have performing! Kind of gross, but good to know how much I worked myself!! At home I did Ab Ripper X which was intense let me tell you! Love it though :)
Monday, I got my butt out of bed early and went running. I think it ended up being about 2 miles total. Didn't track it, but that is roughly about what I do with the route by my house. That night we had a concert at the Draper Amphitheatre which was amazing!! We did our show as well as the "Dog Days" dance. I just love the feeling of dancing my heart out and again, even though I am gross and sweaty at the end, it is SO worth it :)
Sunday, I usually dont workout or anything, but we had a show up at the Park City "Silly Market Days" that they do every Sunday. We are out in the sun and in black costumes, so I know it's going to be a sweaty one which it was!!
Saturday, I helped my Grandma with her house earlier in the day and then ended up running about 2 miles again later that evening. I am trying to at least run 3 times a week, at least 2 miles. So I guess I have made that goal so far this week :)
Friday, we spent 8-9 hours at Lagoon walking around and sweating in the heat, so that was my workout for the day!
Anything before that, I dont quite remember exactly what I did. I know I went to Lagoon Wednesday and swam one of the days last week, but at least going back a week is good enough and hopefully from today on, I will keep updating my stuff!!
Now for Triathlons I am focusing on, I was going to do the Saratoga Springs Tri in august, but found out that it falls on the same time as when I am going to Lake Powell. I have a few friends doing just a Sandy rec one, so I might look into doing that with them, but really want to do an open water one, so we'll see what comes up! It might affect my schedule though if I make Lagoon for Frightmares season! Yes, that's right, I am going to audition to perform for Lagoon on August 4th!! I have a few friends who perform right now that told me they are needing more singers and dancers for Frightmares, so why not? I love performing, I absolutely LOVE Halloween, it would be on just the weekends, which would be easy to work around Jetblue, plus I'd be getting paid for it, so Heck Yes!! Sign me up!! I just hope my audition will go well, which I feel confident about! Wish me luck :)
